  • ‘For I was hungry and you gave me food.’

    —Matthew 25:35

This Bible verse sets the foundation for our mission.

Four people, two women and two men, standing in a store aisle, smiling at the camera. One woman in a red vest, one woman in a blue shirt, and two men in suits are visible. A large poster with three men in suits and four gold stars is behind them. They are holding a check, and part of an aisle with products is visible in the background.

Our Purpose

Serving Clay County Since 1989

For over three decades, The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs has provided emergency food to families and individuals in need throughout Clay County. Our shelves are stocked through generous food drives hosted by local organizations, and our mission is sustained by donations from foundations, businesses, and caring individuals in our community.

We are a 100% volunteer-run organization—with no paid staff and over 90 dedicated volunteers—ensuring that every dollar goes directly toward feeding the hungry and making a difference where it matters most.

  • We are a Christian Ministry of 26 Clay County Churches.

The Mission of the Food Pantry is to provide emergency food for the working poor and to act as a stop gap in times of crisis for people in need.

Make an
impact today

When you give to The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, you’re doing more than meeting a need—you’re extending love.

Your generosity becomes nourishment for a child starting their school day, comfort for a senior stretching a fixed income, and hope for a neighbor facing the unexpected. Every dollar you share helps us place food directly into the hands of those who need it most—right here in Clay County.

Because we’re entirely volunteer-run, your gift doesn’t pass through layers—it goes straight to the shelves, the bags, and the hearts of the people we serve. You remind them they’re not forgotten. You remind them they’re not alone.

Why we need your help.

Our doors are open every day—but families can only receive groceries six times a year. That’s once every two months. For parents trying to stretch meals, for seniors choosing between food and medicine, for children growing up with empty shelves… it’s simply not enough.

We see the gap. We feel the urgency. And we believe our community can rise to meet it.

Our goal is to expand access—so families can come every month, not every other month. Twelve visits a year. Twelve chances to breathe easier. Twelve moments of dignity, hope, and relief, but we can’t do it alone.

With your help—through donations, volunteering, or simply sharing our story—we can double our impact. We can turn scarcity into consistency. Let’s build a Food pantry that reflects the heart of Green Cove Springs and Clay County: generous, faithful, and always ready to serve.

Financial Report

In the past year, The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs provided emergency food assistance to hundreds of families and individuals across Clay County. Each slice of this chart represents real lives touched—neighbors who walked through our doors and found support, dignity, and nourishment.

Whether it was a single visit or ongoing help through difficult seasons, every customer served reflects our mission in action: Feeding Families. Making a Difference.

This data isn’t just numbers—it’s a testament to the power of community, volunteer dedication, and the generosity of donors like you.
